ABSTRACT:
This 5 page report discusses whether or not the United States should continue to operate in the role of world peacekeeper. The ramifications of such a course in terms of both the political and economical realms are discussed. From being international peacekeeper during the Cold War era to an overriding public attitude of isolationism, the sense of “obligation” on the part of the American public has shifted significantly in the past decade.
